Fine Contempoary Art

The Gallery occupies the first floor of an impressive Grade II building overlooking the historic market place of Devizes. Built as the new Town Hall in 1752, this fine building has had a chequered history as a wine business, militia stores, laundry and thrift shop. It has now been sympathetically refurbished to provide one of the finest exhibition areas in the southwest of England.

Of elegant Georgian proportions, and benefitting from good north light the gallery offers a unique setting for the best contemporary painting, printmaking, sculpture, studio glass and ceramics.

Wine Street Gallery presents an annual programme of exhibitions reflecting the diversity of contemporary art, from representational to abstract, and drawing on artistic excellence, local, national and international.

The combined result of the beautiful setting and carefully planned exhibitions is a quality not usually found in provincial galleries.
